... beauty: EOTD - Everyday bronze featuring Laura Geller Baked eyeshadow review

I will be honest, today's look is tres similar to yesterday, but warmer and slightly deeper in tone.
I have also applied the MUFE Aqua Cream liner a little bit heavier on my waterline so that you can see how it looks :)

In (bad) daylight:

Under artificial light:

- Too Faced Shadow Insurance on lids
- Laura Geller Baked Eyeshadow "Tiramisu" applied wet on my lid
- MAC Satin Taupe through socket
- MUFE Aqua Cream liner on upper and waterline
- Laura Geller Wonder wand as brow highlight

These eyeshadows are so much better when wet! They are decent enough when applied dry but, if you really want to make the most of them, wet your brush and prepare for sparkliness :)

Would I recommend?
This one, yes. I have a couple that are a little chalky, but Tiramisu as a lovely, shimmery golden bronze with great colour payoff.

Thanks for reading :)

... beauty: EOTD - Pop of Purple, featuring MUFE Aqua Cream Liner review

Today, I decided to add a little kick to my fall back eye look, purple eyeliner!
I haven't used this one very much because it is quite a dry formula which can make it a bit harder to achieve a smooth line than if I was using a creamier formula.
However.....
I love applying a soft black line of eyeshadow, with an angled brush, on days when I want good definition but not a full on cat eye. For some reason though, lately, eyeshadow liner will not stay put on my lids. WIthin a couple of hours the fallout is ridiculous and, frankly, embarrassing.

Step forward the newly useful Aqua Cream Liner!

On a whim, I decided to try it out again yesterday and it works brilliantly with an angled brush because the texture is firm enough that the brush doesn't sink in too far as it has a tendency to do with the creamier liners. This means that I don't end up with a bloody great clump on the brush and that I can achieve a subtle, smooth line just as easily as I previously could with eyeshadow - dab in the pot, dab on the lid!
But wait! The genius of this product doesn't stop there! With that same angled brush I can dab in the pot and dab along my waterline, creating a line that lasts pretty much all day - amazing!

Here it is in action:

Ingredients!
- Mally Lid Primer
- MAC Innuendo eyeshadow blended through socket
- MAC Relaxing blended over lid
- MUFE Aqua Cream Liner No5 on top lash line and waterline
- Laura Geller Wonder Wand as a brow highlight

Not sure if these pics do the product justice but the purple gives a lovely soft definition to the eyes. I haven't applied it very heavily on my waterline today but yesterday, as part of the experiment, I applied it quite thickly and joined it up with the top liner to make a more dramatic look and it worked just as well.

Would I buy this product again?
Hell yeah! If I can find more colours in the UK my make up bag will welcome them with open zips ;)

I hope that was useful :)

... beauty: EOTD - Black and Gold smokey eye for Valentines Day!

Seeing as everybody and their uncle is doing a Valentines Day look I decided to jump on the bandwagon with this:

1. Apply lid primer, I used Mally Beauty

2. Smudge some black kohl along upper and lower lashline, I used MAC Smoulder

3. To blend further (and set if your lids are oily like mine) I applied a dusting of black shadow (I used MUG Corrupt) with a fluffy brush along the lashlines and slightly into my socket.

4. For warmth I applied a warm brown (MUG Cocoa Bear) very lightly through my socket

5. For added definition I put a layer of black cream liner  ( Clinique True Black) along my top lashline and added extra kohl pencil to my waterline

6. For the gold, I used Napoleon Perdis glitter pigment No.37 on the inner part of my lid, blended out in an upside down triangle shape.

7. Brow highlight, Laura Geller Wonder Wand

8. Lots of mascara! I love Maybelline Falsies.

I paired it with a peachy blush (Laura Geller Tartufo - I love this blusher!!!) and a warm nude lip.

Hope you like it :)

...beauty: EOTD - Weirdly Wearable pink, red and black

Blog Sale on the way folks but today we had some actual sunshine so I decided to make the most of it. My camera still did not quite do it justice - it is a little pinker, purplier and sparklier in real life but the pics are not too bad today!

-Base: Too Faced Shadow Insurance

-Lid + inner 2/3 of lower lashline: MAC Sushi Flower

-Outer corner/Socket/outer 1/3 of lower lashline: MAC Cranberry

-Extra socket definition: MAC Beauty Marked

-Lid + Inner lower lashline Highlight: Napoleon Perdis shimmer dust No.7

-Brow highlight (which has not shown up at al!!) : Laura Geller Wonder Wand

-Waterline: MAC eye kohl Smoulder

As you can see, the three pics all look fairly different. The reality is somewhere in the middle, but with more sparkle!
I love Sushi Flower and Cranberry together, I think they make such a pretty combination. Quite Summery, reminds of things to look forward too while it's freezing cold with gale force winds....
The Napoleon Perdis pigment is a pink/gold/very slightly green tinged shimmer powder that gives extra dimension and vibrancy to the look.
Beauty Marked is amazing for darkening red or purple shades because it takes on the colours rather than taking them over like a standard black. For example, over Cranberry, it turns into a dark purple.

Anyway, I hope you like it.
