... beauty: Nubar Diamont Seal and Shine Top Coat review...
If you have been reading my blog you will know that I am looking for "Big 3 Free" top coat to rival the not so human friendly, but bloody brilliant, Seche Vite. Happily, this has proved to be one of my shorter beauty quests as I seem to have hit the jackpot on my second attempt.
Behold.......
I love this product. I managed to avoid the duff batch that did the rounds a year or so ago and what I received dried as quickly as Seche Vite, feels pretty much as 'thick' and protective when dry, is just as glossy and keeps my chip free for a good 5 days!!
The fifth day, regardez:
I bought this from Beauty Bay for £5.50. That's right, it is actually cheaper than thecrappy Save the Nail top coat.
As far as I'm concerned the only bad point is that I now want to try more from the range....

... beauty: Project Blade - The Trimester Edition: Part 3...
If it 's good enough for the movies, it's good enough for my blog. A trilogy that is, and so we come to the final part.
Aussie Sprunch spray - Best thing for curls EVER!!!!!!!!!!! Aussie, what the F*CK??!! We use styling products in the UK too, you know!!
Would I repurchase? No, but only because I CAN'T!
Laura Geller Creme to Powder foundation in Bisque - I like this product, it has SPF 20, gives decent coverage and was a good colour match (Bisque) for my pale skin even though it looked crazy dark in the compact. Repurchase? Possibly.
Laura Geller Bronze 'n' Brighten mini - Quite dark but I was able to use it for contouring in spite of my paleness. Repurchase? No, it contains talc.
MAC Innuendo eyeshadow - Lovely subtle taupe with a hint of shimmer, great for socket contouring. Repurchase? No, it contains talc.
Dove Pro-Age deodorant - Worked well enough but still made my underarms itchy and, even though I thought it smelled nice to begin with, after about a week I couldn't stand the smell! Repurchase? No.
Pro Strong Pro Moist hand cream - As you can see when I finish a product I really finish it! I bought this from QVC thanks to the promise of the hand cream keeping your hands supple even after hand washing. Sounds great, right? My hands still cracked this Winter so, no.
Decleor Ylang Ylang night balm - I love Decleor. I love the clarity this gives my skin. It also smells byoootiful. Will I repurchase? If I can find a good deal, definitely. If not, probably.....
I hope these posts have been of interest. I already have more to add for my April update!
I think Blade would be proud........

... beauty: Save the Nail 45 Second Top Coat Review...
In a bid to cut out some of the more questionable chemicals in my beauty routine I have been on the hunt for a "Big 3 Free" top coat to replace my beloved Seche Vite.
The first candidate is Save the Nail 45 Second Top Coat.
I had never heard of this brand before seeing it in Boots on a quiet Thursday. Reading the blurb it seems to be some sort of offshoot of Nails Inc so I was quite hopeful when I handed my money over and excited to put it to the test.
Sadly, for me, this is not a keeper. Seche Vite is thick enough to makes my nails feel stronger while it's on, this one does not, I could still bend my nails a little while wearing it.
It didn't wear well either, my polish started chipping round the edges about half way through the week and, even on the first day of wear, the finish wasn't as glossy as Seche Vite.
I have seen quite a few good reviews of this on other blogs and the Boots website so obviously some people are having better luck with it than I did!
If you want to try it out yourself it costs £7.95 from Boots.

... beauty: Project Blade - The Trimester Edition: Part 2.......
In the second installment we have.........
Inecto Pure Coconut Conditioner. This is a definite repurchase for me. £1.50 from Savers and it works as my no-poo cleanser and leave in conditioner. It also smells of coconut. Enough said.
St Ives Apricot scrub. This was technically inherited by me (through relocation rather than death!) and, although it does the job well enough my skin just doesn't seem to like grainy scrubs.
Naked bodycare Wake Up white ginger shower gel. This was another Savers bargain - £1!! If they still have it in stock, I will repurchase - the rrp is £3.99 so, even though the smell is not my favourite, it's a great bargain for a sulphate-free product.
Done, done, on to the next one.........
EDIT: It has been pointed out to me by my auspicious benefactor that the Inecto conditioner was also, in fact, inherited. My apologies ;)
